Wealth and Success.

We chase money, power, fame, and influence—often believing these are the finish lines. But if we look closer, we realize these are rarely the true destination. They are symptoms of a deeper, quieter ache.

They are the tools we use to chase the same thing: the need to be validated and the need to be seen.

Somewhere along the way, many of us were made to feel that simply existing was not enough. Perhaps we weren't loved properly, or we were constantly compared, ignored, or dismissed. We grew up believing we had to earn our affection by becoming "impressive." 

So, we made a pact with ourselves: I will become someone who cannot be ignored.

In addition to this need of validation, there is a dangerous mismatch in modern life: we want everything immediately.

If a text isn’t answered in two minutes, we invent a story about rejection. If an investment doesn’t triple in three months, we call it a failure. We treat our lives like high-speed trading, demanding quick money, quick love, and quick success.

But life does not grow in a straight, fast line.

Consider the tree. It doesn’t become a giant overnight. It sits in the dark soil for months, building roots long before it shows a single leaf to the world. If it tried to rush the process—if it pushed into frozen ground before the season turned—it would die.

We, too, are prone to rushing into seasons we aren't ready for. 

I have seen it happen with people who stumble into sudden wealth or fame. They are given the "harvest" without ever having tended the "soil." When your internal identity hasn't caught up to your external success, you don't just hold the wealth—you become a target for it. 

You spend recklessly, trust the wrong people, and burn through your resources, not out of malice, but because you never learned how to carry the weight of what you received.

The things we truly need— safety, trust, and a reason to wake up—are remarkably simple. Everything else is usually just a desperate attempt to fix an emotional wound with a material bandage.

So, do not be afraid of the "winter" seasons where nothing seems to be growing; you are likely just building roots. Do not take negative events so personally. NEVER take short-cuts and NEVER lie. Instead, step back, observe, and learn. The situation may seem unfair, but give it time; you will see it differently. Perhaps it is the "winter" you needed to rest and find yourself before the summer comes.

Trust in your Creator—whether you call that nature, the galaxy, or another name. Most importantly, slow down. Stay away from those who drain you, and focus on your own happiness. Forget about everything else. You are what matters most in your universe.
